The Kjellstrom Family Foundation Final Distribution

The Trustees of the Kjellstrom Family Foundation are accepting applications from eligible nonprofit exempt organizations in Winnebago County, Illinois, for final distribution of trust assets. This distribution is for endowment gifts ONLY, requests up to $1 million, and is intended to support organizations that demonstrate strong leadership, measurable outcomes, and a clear plan for effective use of the endowment funds. Eligible organizations are encouraged to submit an on-line application at www.kjellstromfdn.org no later than January 30, 2027. Below is an outline of the Application components.

Two information sessions will be held to learn more about the final distribution.

September 14, 2026 @ 3:00 p.m. at NIU-Rockford
September 22, 2026 @ 8:30 a.m. at NIU-Rockford. This meeting will be followed by an endowment training session (information attached) for individuals interested in learning more about the value of endowment, how to establish an endowment fund, investment policies, and endowment growth options.
